Hen Party Accessories | Cowgirl Hats, Disco Balls and The New Rules
September 13, 2026Sashay your way to the Peak District’s prettiest postcode collection. If the plan is a whole weekend under one roof, prosecco in the hot tub, matching pyjamas, someone’s playlist arguing with someone else’s, Derbyshire might just be the smartest countryside choice in the Midlands. You get proper Peak District views and gorgeous stone farmhouses, Chatsworth-country villages like Bakewell and Ashbourne for the amble, and noticeably more space for your money than the Cotswolds will ever offer.
And you? You’re the one with the spreadsheet, so you need the practical bits too: enough proper beds (no one over 30 wants the sofa), a table that seats everyone for dinner, and a landlord who actually welcomes hen groups rather than tolerating them. Every house and collection below is genuinely hen friendly, and between them they cover hot tubs, indoor pools and glamping under actual stars.
Top tip: pair your accommodation with a hen party dance class to kick the weekend off properly. We come to you anywhere in the UK, so wherever you’re staying, we can make it work! After 10 years and 2,500+ dance parties, a lot of them in exactly these kinds of houses, we can confirm a Peak District barn makes a spectacular dance floor.

Hen Party Houses in Derbyshire with Hot Tubs and Pools
The hot tub is non-negotiable for most groups, and honestly, we get it. There’s no better debrief spot after the first night in. These collections have the county covered, and they all welcome hen groups with open arms.
Group Accommodation’s Derbyshire hen houses – The big filterable collection: country houses for 20 with tennis courts and games rooms, a characterful place sleeping 18 with an indoor swimming pool and hot tub, and Burrs Farm sleeping 22 with a large indoor pool plus indoor and outdoor hot tubs. Their Derbyshire hot tub houses filter does exactly what it says.
Party Houses’ Derbyshire collection – Large group houses across the county from the Peak fringes to the Dales, party-friendly by design and easy to filter by size and feature.
Ashbourne Self Catering – A dedicated hen party venue with a hot tub near Ashbourne, lodges and homes built for exactly this weekend, on the gateway to Dovedale’s prettiest walking.
And for the Peaks proper, Group Accommodation’s Peak District hen collection rounds up the stone farmhouses with the big views.
Glamping Hen Do Derbyshire Style
Derbyshire is quietly brilliant at the canvas version, and the county has something most regions don’t: glamping built specifically for hens.
Hen Camp – Exactly what it sounds like: a dedicated hen party glamping retreat on the Derbyshire and Staffordshire border, with bell tents and huts for up to 24, a barn, a kitchen, firepit and BBQ hut, and a lake to gaze at from the deck. Exclusive-use, so the whole site is yours.
The Gathering, Edale – Luxurious safari lodges and a Victorian shooting lodge on a private Hope Valley farm at the very start of the Pennine Way. Glamping with proper grandeur, and the sunrise over the valley is worth the early alarm once.
Secret Wood Glamping – A woodland bell tent with its own private hot tub on the Peak District edge, gorgeous for smaller groups or a bride-and-best-friends chapter of a bigger weekend.
A hen party glamping weekend suits the crafty-cosy group perfectly: firepit, fairy lights, flower crowns, and our dance class works beautifully in a barn or on the grass, weather permitting, and Derbyshire weather does like to keep things interesting.
The Derby Chapter: City Nights and Hen Do Ideas in Derby
Want a city evening in the mix? Derby sits handily on the county’s edge, and hen do ideas in Derby cover the essentials: cocktail bars and restaurants around the Cathedral Quarter, friendly dancefloors for premiering the routine, and city apartments for groups who’d rather base near the nightlife than the sheep. Hen party life drawing in Derby travels to your accommodation just like everywhere else, and our themed classes run here too, the countryside house with one Derby night out is a lovely best-of-both shape.

Which Bit of Derbyshire Suits Your Group?
Bakewell for pudding-and-prettiness ambles and the Chatsworth day out. Ashbourne and Dovedale for the storybook walking. The Hope Valley and Edale for big-sky drama and the glamping. Matlock and the Derwent for riverside charm. And Derby for the night out within taxi range. Wherever you land, we come to you, the dance class works exactly the same in a Peak barn as a Derby apartment.
Booking a Hen House: Three Things the Listings Don’t Tell You
- Always confirm the house accepts hen parties before paying a deposit. Plenty of big holiday lets quietly ban them, everything in this guide welcomes them, but if you browse elsewhere, ask first.
- Count the proper beds, not the sleeps number. “Sleeps 20” sometimes means 14 beds and three sofa beds, and somebody’s mum is not sleeping on a sofa bed.
- Check the noise policy and quiet hours before you plan the barn takeover. National park houses can be stricter than you’d think, the ones above are party-friendly, but always worth a read.
