Earlier this month the Sashay Dance team travelled down to London for the Last Night of Freedom supplier party and awards evening. Last Night of Freedom (LNoF) are the UKs number 1 hen and stag company specialising in creating the best hen and stag weekends, organising anything from hotels and activities to accessories. We had added excitement for this trip though, as we were nominated for 2 awards – Best National Supplier and The Outstanding Achievement Award. A dance class for The Haven breast cancer charity

The Pink Flashdance for The Haven! Breast Cancer Awareness Month

We had a groovy morning on Sunday 15th October at The Pink Flashdance event at Yorkshire Dance. This event was held to raise money for The Haven in Yorkshire which supports people affected by breast cancer and a special event for Breast Cancer Awareness Month. A total of £650 was raised for The Haven which gave us even more to dance about! A fun corporate dance class event for Leeds Business Week

The ‘Movers and Shakers’ at the Sashay Dance event as part of Leeds Business Week

Networkers at Leeds Business Week were taken out of their comfort zone right from day 1 on Monday 9th October 2017 where they did a Cha Cha Dance Class with Sarah Hough, Director of Sashay Dance. They really did demonstrate that they were the ‘Movers and Shakers’ of the city! The event finished with a mini dance competition where networkers were split into two teams and they had to come up with a routine based on the funky Cha Cha moves they’d been taught. Sashay Dance 1st Birthday Party!

We have just hit our 1st birthday! I can’t actually believe it’s been 1 year, it feels like 5 years with all that’s happened in such a short space of time. I’d like to say a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who’s supported Sashay Dance. To celebrate we had a fabulous exclusive party in El Atico of Revolution Call Lane, Leeds. Sashay Dance Leeds – A ‘Moving’ Charity Dance Event for Mental Health Awareness Week!

On Saturday 13th May we had a charity dance event for Mental Health Awareness Week in aid of Mind Charity. The event was a massive success with so much support from the local community. We raised £467.80 for Mind Charity and raised a lot of mental health awareness! Every year in the UK 1 in 4 people develop a mental health illness and at this event we were showing that it’s not only ok to talk about mental health it’s ok to dance about it too.
